Colloquium
Building pride, visibility, and alumni engagement through cohesive, student-first design for consecutive years.

The Challenge
Colloquium had long been a platform for students to showcase innovative hardware and software projects, but it lacked a brand experience to match the ambition of the ideas being presented. With inconsistent visuals, limited student excitement, and minimal alumni engagement, the event didn’t reflect the caliber of talent or pride within the department.
In 2024, we were brought in to change that and then asked to do it again in 2025.
“What EvolvEd achieved went beyond design, they elevated the entire experience of Colloquium. Students felt prouder to be part of the event, and visitors could instantly sense the energy and intent behind it. Their thoughtful approach made a noticeable difference.”
– Ms. Sonali Suryawanshi, Colloquium Co-ordinator

The Solution
We began by creating a bold, unified identity for Colloquium, introducing a hashtag and logo system that would anchor the entire experience. In 2024, #MakingITCount became the rallying cry, signaling a new era for the event.
By 2025, we built on that foundation with Gen Z-specific language, and visual culture – from engaging slides to sticker sheets that students and faculty proudly wore. Our HTML email series welcomed guests, thanked contributors, and helped bring alumni back into the fold. For two years, we set the tone – not just for how the event looked, but how it felt.

The Result
The difference was undeniable. The event’s visual presence became a talking point, on campus and online. Students engaged like never before, alumni came back as judges and sponsors, and the quality of showcased projects rose noticeably.
LinkedIn lit up with event photos, each one a sign that the new identity had struck a chord. Colloquium wasn’t just another department event anymore — it became a brand the community stood behind.
